I’ve been thinking about starting a blog for a while now. I often have little projects that I’m working on related to my hobbies and I always spend time searching the Internet for solutions and testing out different solutions. I thought that it would be fun to share these experiences with others and help a few people along the way. Maybe some of you could help me tackle some challenges that have gotten the best of me so far too.
Lately I’ve spent my late night hours toying around with my new 3D printer – The Deltaprintr (… and yes, that is spelled correctly). I do a lot of my hobby activities when my wife and little boy are sleeping. I’m a bit of a night owl, and this way I get to spend quality time with my family and enjoy my hobbies. That’s a win-win scenario for everyone! My wife, Leslie, says that I’ve spent so much time with my 3D printer lately that it’s like my girlfriend. She’s even named it “Melissa”.
I’ve been very active on the Deltaprintr Forum over the last couple of months, and that got me started thinking about creating a blog again. It’s nice to share and work on issues on the forum, but I just want a place where I can share some ideas a little more formally and highlight the things that interest me the most. My user name is Ryan-3D on the forums, if you are looking for me over there.
I’m sure that a number of my early posts here, will be about my trials and tribulations with “Melissa”, since I’m busy working on that hobby now. But, I also have a number of other hobbies that I bounce between to keep my mind and body active, so don’t be surprised if my topic of interest changes up on occasion.
